Article 2 — Sovereignty and source of authority
(1) A szuverenitás a nemzeté. A nemzet a magyar állampolgárok összessége.
(2) A nemzet a szuverenitását közvetlenül népszavazás útján, valamint közvetve, választott képviselői útján gyakorolja.
(3) A szuverén hatalom gyakorlását egyetlen szerv vagy személy sem sajátíthatja ki.
(1) Sovereignty belongs to the People. The People are the Hungarian citizens collectively.
(2) The People exercise their sovereignty directly through referendum and indirectly through the representatives whom they elect.
(3) No body and no person may appropriate the exercise of sovereign authority.
